Congratulations everyone! Your performance was very memorable for everyone who had the pleasure of seeing it.

Ms. Gretzinger has posted a video of part of the performance on her blog - take a look:

Homework and Reminders:
  • Iqbal due tomorrow
  • Math Test in homeroom on Thursday. This is a test about patterning and algebra (pg 1-29 in the JUMP book). We covered this in class during September, but did not use the JUMP book. Please review these pages and refresh your memory about any concepts that are tricky for you. You DO NOT need to complete all of these pages. We will spend some more time in class reviewing before the test.
  • Wear your PE kit tomorrow morning!
  • Read for 20 minutes

This is a very, very busy week - so please check the blog regular for the updates and news.

  • There has been a change to Wednesday's schedule with Craig Kielburger. His presentation has been bumped back 30 minutes and we have done our best to accommodate this change. Here is a letter from the Grade 5 Team about the change.
Dear Grade 5 Parents:

There has been a scheduling change to the Kielburger Round Square event at Morven this
Wednesday. The event will now end at 3:30pm. The Grade 5s will still be bussed back to
Wentworth and will arrive at Wentworth at approximately 3:55pm.

Wentworth students who normally take the after school shuttle to Morven will be kept at
Morven (and therefore not get on the return bus to Wentworth) in order to catch the
3:35pm bus home. These Gr 5 students who may have younger siblings that take the shuttle
from Wentworth to Morven will meet up with their sibling out front at Morven.

Younger Wentworth siblings (those who usually meet up with their Grade 5 sibling after
school in the lobby) will be sent up to Daycare until the Grade 5s return to Wentworth at
3:55pm. Parents, please go to Daycare to sign out and pick up your younger child.

  • Mr. Hatch has declared Thursday, October 9, 2008 to be CHEER ON CANUCKS DAY! If you have a Canucks jersey or t-shirt, you are welcome to wear it over your uniform shirt this Thursday.
  • This week is our THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE please bring in some non-perishable food items and put them in the donation box outside of our classroom
  • Coming home tonight is information about Quest Atlantis, a special project that 5M, 4/5S and the Multimedia Club are involved in. Please read the forms, sign and return them ASAP, we cannot start the project until we have all the consent forms.
  • Also coming home tonight are forms for parent/teacher interviews
I have managed to upload only one of my videos from last week - here is the Morven choir singing at our assembly. Hopefully more videos will follow over the next few days!
